3D print assignment.
The first assignment that we had to do with mechanical engineering was 3d printing a small chair. For this, we were allowed to use SolidWorks or Fusion360. I chose to work with SolidWorks, which is an application that I haven’t worked with before. Therefore it was quite a challenge for me to create something with this software, even if it seems quite simple. I took a lot of time developing my basic knowledge and skill in this software. In the end my tutors advised me to keep it simple if I wasn’t completely sure of my own capabilities, so I did. This made sure that in the end I had a chair that I was able to deliver that was sturdy and really printable. This was the focus for this assignment for me. In further projects I want to try and develop my skill in working with this sort of software if it’s possible, because I believe that it is really handy to manufacture different tedious parts of products.
